Delete your Rucibo account and data

You can delete your Rucibo account and all your data at any time. This page explains how, what gets deleted and how long it takes.

Before you delete

  • It is permanent. We will not be able to recover your invoices afterwards.
  • Export what you need. Keeping your tax documents is your obligation as a taxpayer. Once deletion is in the app, it will offer to export everything first.
  • Keep the paper. A photo does not replace the original: keep every paper invoice until 31 December of the invoice's year plus 6 years.

By email

During the beta, you request deletion by email. Write to hola@creativeloop.tech from the email address you use to sign in to Rucibo, with the subject "Delete my account". This also works if you no longer have the app installed. To protect your account, we may ask you to confirm that you are the account holder. We reply once the deletion is complete.

From the app, once it offers it

Once the app includes the option, the steps will be:

  1. Open Rucibo and go to Settings.
  2. Tap Account, then Delete account.
  3. Read what will be deleted and, if you want, tap Export everything first.
  4. Type the confirmation the app asks for and tap Delete.

The app will immediately delete the data stored on your phone and sign you out.

What gets deleted

  • your account, your sessions and your registered devices;
  • your RUCs, dependents and contractual links;
  • all your invoices, images and PDFs, with all extracted data;
  • your packages for your accountant and the links you shared, which stop working;
  • the Google Drive connection: we revoke the permission and delete our encrypted copy of it;
  • if you signed in with Apple, we revoke Rucibo's access to your Apple account.

What is not deleted

  • Files in your Google Drive. They are yours and stay in your Drive. To delete them, do it from Drive.
  • What you already sent your accountant. Files they already downloaded stay with them. If you shared a Google Drive folder with them, it stays shared until you stop sharing it from Drive.
  • A minimal record of the deletion, with a pseudonymous identifier and none of your data, as proof that it happened.

How long it takes

  • We aim to complete the deletion in under 24 hours.
  • Database backups expire on their own within 14 days.
  • OpenAI may keep the content of a request for up to 30 days, only for abuse monitoring.

Deleting only some invoices

You do not need to delete your account to remove an invoice. Open it in the app and tap Delete. You have a few seconds to undo it; after that we keep it on our servers for 30 more days and then delete it.
